Kano APC Leaders Targeted in Fresh Attacks as Party Chairman Is Abducted and Three People Are Killed

Kano State has witnessed a fresh wave of attacks involving suspected kidnappers and bandits, with an All Progressives Congress chairman abducted and several people killed in separate incidents.

The latest incident involved Abdullahi Beli, the APC chairman of Rogo Local Government Area.

Beli was reportedly abducted from his village on Monday evening, shortly after returning from a party function in a neighbouring community.

According to reports, gunmen stormed Beli village near Zarewa town on Monday evening.

Kano State APC Publicity Secretary Auwalu Sojo confirmed the abduction and said the party chairman remained in the custody of his abductors.

Police Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori confirmed that three people died during the Rantan attack, although reports differed on the identity of the third fatality.

The attack reportedly began when gunmen invaded Rantan community.

Residents said the attackers arrived on motorcycles and opened fire.

Garba Buba was reportedly taken to hospital after being shot but later died from his injuries.
